Michael Alexander has been in private practice in Austin, serving the Central Texas area for over fourty years. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970, he was in public service for thirteen years, culminating as the Chief Engineer for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Michael Alexander has been in private practice in Austin, serving the Central Texas area for over fourty years. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970, he was in public service for thirteen years, culminating as the Chief Engineer for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
As the head of Professional Design Group, Mike has specialized in the design of light commercial structures, single family residential foundations, and Code Compliance.
Mike, through PDG, Inc, has worked for many of the largest builders and contractors in Austin and Central Texas, as well as individual home owners. He has provided Code Compliance for the local cities of Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Manor, Hutto, Buda and Kyle. Mike was also the Building Official for the City of Rollingwood for 15 years, enforcing and developing Code Compliance and Building Regulations.

Joe graduated from Texas A&M University in 1994, with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He joined PDG in 1995. Joe's expertise in single family and light commercial foundation, steel and wood framing is unsurpassed by any graduate engineer in the area. Additionally, Joe has nearly twenty years experience in the field of inspection

Joe has worked with all the city and county governmental agencies in the Central Texas area and is familiar with all their regulations and requirements.
Together, Joe and Mike form an exemplary engineering design team, with practical understanding of the client's challenges, and the technical knowledge to meet their goals and objectives.
